This is associated with the theme of honesty since they are all used to build a relationships. Throughout the story, Christopher who is the protagonist has been used to bring out how truth is an integral part of the world and thinks that it is right as well as wrong. Christopher is always carrying a Swiss Army knife which is used to symbolize safety. He tends to be aware of the physical safety due to the struggles to protect himself emotions.

From “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” magical realism are used in the novel to describe trust and honesty issues. Christopher mostly finds solace in interacting with animals and brings out major consternation when he sees them endangered. Christopher engages with animals readily since he identifies them easier to comprehend than people. Animals mainly serve as a foundation for trust between Christopher and other human beings.
