The last paper is a synthesis of previous weeks materials. What this means is that it is your job to draw on different theories, from different weeks, in your answer. Like the shorter paper, there are prompts that you can choose from (find below). Unlike past weeks, the paper is not three pages, but should have a minimum of five pages. If you write less, then you will lose points. Just like the other papers for this class, you need to have a thesis statement and supporting paragraphs. You also are required to use the course materials in your answers, which means a quotation and/or paraphrase per paragraph (not the introduction). No external (from outside of class) sources are needed.
Prompts to choose from Pick just one! (Dont do them all!)
1. Pick three theories and discuss how they view the state. Which is best, in your opinion, and why?
2. Pick three theories and discuss how they view identity. Which is best, in your opinion, and why?
3. Pick three theories and discuss how they view the environment. Which is best, in your opinion, and why?
4. Pick three theories and discuss how they view politics. Which is best, in your opinion, and why? (by politics, I mean the kind of political action that you believe each theory promotes. Make sure, if you answer this prompt, that you provide references/quotations to the texts.)
