It is the intention of this assignment to challenge you to assess your spiritual life so that you can see how you need to mature. In order to accomplish this goal, this assignment will require a level of vulnerability and honesty which can result in spiritual growth, if you embrace the process. As you write the assessment, approach it prayerfully. Approaching this assignment prayerfully will help you to be open to the Lord as He reveals how He wants to begin working in your heart, both during this course and throughout the rest of your life.

• This assignment consists of seven parts:
Part 1: Explain the ways “lust of the flesh” can manifest itself in one’s life (I John 2:16).

Part 2: Explain the ways “lust of the eyes” can manifest itself in one’s life (I John 2:16).

Part 3: Explain the ways “pride of life” can manifest itself in one’s life (I John 2:16).

Part 4: Evaluate your success at combating temptations you regularly face.

Part 5: Evaluate your spiritual weaknesses and blind spots through personal reflection and seeking insight from others.

Part 6: Describe how you practice the spiritual disciplines for the purpose of godliness.

Part 7: Provide a concise 1-page analysis of your ministry skills utilizing the SWOT method: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. If you are unfamiliar with the SWOT method, a simple internet search will provide a concise description, or you may contact your instructor for further clarification.

• This assignment must be a total of at least 900 words.
• This assignment must use Turabian format and include a title page, table of contents, introduction, body, conclusion, and a bibliography. You may write in the first-person.
• This assignment must integrate at least 3 biblical integrations.
