Term Paper
This project requires that you identify an organization and discuss the organization’s current
experience with a topic related to organizational behavior/organizational theory. You should
have (or be able to acquire) a high degree of familiarity with the organization (e.g. your current
or former employing organization), and the behavior can be historic or current. The purpose of
the project is to provide you with an opportunity to examine the nature of organizational
behaviors in an actual organizational context. An excellent paper is one that combines both rich
description of the underlying behaviors with a thorough and informed analysis and critique.
Your final research paper should be double spaced (1-inch margins, 12-point font). The limit does not include appendices, which you are free to use to provide charts, figures, or other background material not necessary in the main body of
your analysis. Please provide references.
The paper should consist of the following components:
1. A brief overview of the organization
2. An outline of the problems facing the organization
3. A description of your data sources and data collection methods
4. A summary of the results of your analysis
5. Conclusions that you arrive at based on your analysis
