By this time, we have been addressing several issues regarding self esteem and ways to improve self esteem. Please refer to readings of Canter, Dreikurs, Skinner, Jones and Glasser (see textbook). In the video When the Chips are Down, Lavoie makes the analogy of a poker game, and how some people have a large bankroll (self esteem). Discuss at least five strategies and interventions presented by the aforementioned behaviourists that can contribute to a disabled student’s self esteem (you are to use one strategy from each behaviourist). You MUST show how you would use these strategies in your classroom to improve the self esteem of the disabled student.
