Identify an Organization that is currently or has historically engaged in addressing the needs of a vulnerable or marginalized population through community organizing interventions ( for example, improving institutional services, mobilizing neighborhoods, strengthening families and neighborhoods, new academic approaches, vocational education and employment/ training programs,developing emotional strengths and life skills, demonstrating trust and respect for adolescents, issues of race, ethnicity and culture ) that have brought about change for the particular group or community.
2. Give a brief historical background of the group or community and problems that they encounter ( social injustice, environmental injustice, economic injustice, human rights violations, etc.)
3. Describe the organizations approach or strategies to bring about change for the group or community.
4. What roles were used by the Community Organizers ( Social Workers ) in the intervention(s)? ( An example of interventions are in question number one ( above ).
5. How effective was the intervention ? What changes resulted from the intervention(s) or what were the limitations of the intervention ?
