This helps narrow the problem. Reviewing the literature may help you focus on the
questions you are asking.
4) FORMULATE AN HYPOTHESIS- A statement of what you expect to find
according to a prediction by a theory.
5) CHOOSE A RESEARCH METHOD (survey, participant observation
secondary analysis, analysis of documents, experiments, etc)
6) Collect the data Data must be reliable.
7) Analyze the results- testing your hypothesis against your data.
