The purpose of this assignment is to compare and contrast the groups discussed in The Hip-Hop Generation Fights Back and Punished.
More specifically, please do the following:
Think about the similarities and differences between the groups discussed in the books, paying particular attention to the social factors of interest to sociologists. What social factors seem to affect one group but not the other? What social factors seem to affect both groups?
Select the social factors that you think are most important, and organize your paper based on them.
The paper will be focused on the two books—no need to bring in any additional sources, but if you do, be sure to cite them correctly. If you bring in concepts/ideas/theories from the lectures, you don?t need to cite them; we will treat lectures as common knowledge shared by the class.
Papers should be approximately 4-6 typed double-spaced pages not including a page of references.
