• Finally, you will need to plan some next steps for the child’s learning and consider what resources, activities or strategies might support further learning (Using the format provided – Observation Analysis Proforma).

Highlight/ annotate your narrative observation
Analyse your notes highlighting any skills, knowledge or attitudes you feel he has demonstrated in the areas of learning you feel have been demonstrated by the child in the clip (Use a highlighter for this if it helps).

Preparation-
•Give some context (e.g. Where? When? How long?) of the observation in the context box.
•If you have any previous knowledge of the child put this information in the knowledge of the child/strengths and interests box.
