1. What were the intentions of these policies regarding Native Americans in boarding schools, and what have been the outcomes of these policies?
2. Thinking of the educational system today, what are current stumbling blocks to inter-cultural interaction in the educational system, as found in the Glock, et. al article? Consider: should there be more emphasis on assimilation to majority American culture in schools? And to what degree should schools emphasize cultural diversity? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches?
