resource for students. I talked with the video
guy when I was there and he said we could
use a video like this. It gives such depth and

Biblical Foundation
? Proverbs 15: 28-33
The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer,
but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
29 The Lord is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
and good news refreshes[a] the bones.
31 The ear that listens to life-giving reproof
will dwell among the wise.
32 Whoever ignores instruction despises himself,
but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.
33 The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,

Pantheistic Worldview

A pantheistic worldview is best described as the belief
that everything in the universe is ultimately divine.

Today theologians and philosophers use pantheism to
describe this belief. Pan means ? all? and theos means ?
God?. Pantheists believe ? all is God?.

Pantheists view God as immanent and impersonal. The
belief system grew out of the scientific revolution, and
pantheists generally are strong supporters of scientific
inquiry, as well as religious toleration.

There are five features that distinguish spirituality/ the new
age movement from other religious systems.
There is a generally optimistic view of man kinds future.
They believe that humanity is on the cusp of a quantum leap
in evolution that will occur at the level of human
consciousness.
Their adoption of self empowerment
They seek to reconcile the realms of religion and science
that enhances the human condition spiritually and materially.
Their eclectic embrace of a ray of traditional and non
traditional spiritual beliefs.

Transcendentalism

Transcendentalism is best defined as a religious and
philosophical movement that arose in the early 1800?s as a
reaction against rationalism and organized religion, it teaches
that human beings are inherently good and that nature is
fundamentally divine.
The following early 19th century leaders in Transcendentalism
were Henry David Thoreau, Margaret Fuller, Lydia Maria Child,
Amos Bronson Alcott, Frederick Henry Hedge, Elizabeth Palmer
Peabody, and Theodore Parker.
Three characteristics of Transcendentalism:
1. Individualism
2. Self reliance
3. Optimism
