No unread replies.No replies.

Online Discussion
Each student is responsible for an initial posting and responding to at least TWO peer’s postings during each learning module (LM).  The initial posting is due by Wednesday prior to 11:59 PM and your second responses are due prior to 11:59 PM on Sunday of the module week. Late postings will result in no credit.

As a large part of the final grade, students are expected to participate regularly in Discussion Forum assignments. The grading rubric for contributions follows.
Discussion Forums are ongoing interactive processes that occur throughout the LM. Interactions with other class members offer enriched learning. Last-minute posts do not demonstrate the student’s best work.
Contributions are evaluated on presentation of a meaningful “informed opinion,” i.e., synthesis of your preparation on the topic, interaction with peers and faculty, and ongoing learning. Useful posts may include and are not limited to:

Posting your ‘take’ on the issue (this is informed by your prep, not a ‘gut reaction.’
Asking critical thinking questions
Offering alternate interpretations and additional insights
Contributing to the learning of the group

Instructions:

Make your initial post prior to 11:59 PM EST on  Wednesday of the module week.
Respond to two other classmates’ posts prior to 11:59 PM EST on Sunday of the module week.

Grading Rubric
Your assignment will be graded according to the discussion board grading rubric.
Discussion Questions:
Please answer both questions:

Choose a research article on a topic that interests you.  Describe the study.  Do you see any glaring issues?  Are there parts missing?  Are you finding it trustworthy (why?) and could you implement the findings in your practice?
Choose a problem area in your practice and develop 2 research questions utilizing both the PICO(T) and PIO formats.
