Following World War I, the American culture changed significantly. Historians
have pointed to many influences that shaped this new culture, including Jazz
music, prohibition, changing fashion and availability of automobiles. However,
one of the greatest changes occurred in redefining the role of women in
society. After reviewing the provided resources, answer the following
questions (you do not have to answer all of them and you are not limited to
them).

devastation of World War I? How did women’s rights change and how did
women’s roles in society change? What characterized the “New Woman”, and
what do the opposition sources tell us about the concern this New Woman
brought? What lasting impact do you see of the Flapper culture or the New
Woman from the 1920s.
