The first part is to go to this Hospital Compare webpage and perform a comparison of two (2) hospitals. The hospitals can be local or opportunities for your future employment. To complete the first part of this assignment, the following five (5) comparative questions must be answered:
1.What is the type of hospital (acute, rehab, etc).
2.How do the hospitals’ overall rating details? (i.e. 3/5 stars)
3.Describe at least three (3) patient survey rating responses. Identify how each response compares against the national average along with how it impacts patient care.
4.Select one (1) element under timely and effective care, such as sepsis care or heart attack care, and compare hospitals’ ratings to the national average. Locate a research or scholarly article describing this element and cite it in proper APA format. Summarize the article.
5.Select another element under unplanned hospital visits, such as readmission of heart attacks or COPD, and compare the hospitals’ ratings against the national average. Locate a research or scholarly article describing ways to prevent the element under unplanned hospital visits and cite it in proper APA format. Summarize the article.
The second part of this assignment is to examine the cost of a diagnosis or procedure for the same two (2) hospitals utilized in Part 1. To complete the second part of this assignment, the following three (3) tasks must be addressed.
1.Identify and describe a diagnosis or procedure, either outpatient or inpatient.
2.Compare the associated cost of the selected diagnosis or procedure at the two (2) hospitals using the following websites, or your personal insurance resources if available.
