This assignment is the first of three parts of the research paper assignment. The point of this assignment is to help you start the process in your main assignment in this course. This will guide you in the formation of the sections of your paper that you will later fill in with the information you will find when you look up credible sources. This is a very general outline that will set up the headings (sections) that will be filled in during the research paper assignment. This is considered a skeleton outline. A skeleton outline is—a table of contents for your piece. It’s not a detailed or necessarily formalized outline like those you may have written before, complete with sub-topics and full sentences. A skeletal outline is really “just the bones,” pun fully intended.
Instructions
This assignment will follow APA 7th edition guidelines and will only consist of the required headings of your final research paper. You will follow the guidelines set forth in the attached instructional video below. You can also find instructions by clicking on (Purdue owl APA 7th edition headings (Links to an external site.)). You have already been assigned your research paper topic in module 2. You can also find this information under the “People” tabs. This must include sections (headings) for the introduction, background, demographics and prevalence, individual, family, and social factors, treatments and outcomes, public health implications, and conclusion. 
In order for this assignment to be done correctly, you must watch the attached video below to see how this needs to be done. The paper should be written double spaced, with proper attention to spelling and grammar. You may submit this as a Word document. Alternatively, you can submit in Google docs. Then choose “Share” in the upper right corner, click the blue “change” button, choose “Anyone with the link,” and “Save.” Then the link will be highlighted at the top of the window. Copy and paste that link into the “Text Entry” option in Canvas. Check the rubric below for more information on grading.
No late submissions will be accepted per the syllabus and syllabus contract. You need to:
