1.) Briefly restate
your research question.
How has Covid-19 affected students with special needs?
2a.) Using proper bibliographic format and
including a link to the articles, list three sources
you have located in
your searches that might help you with your research question. AT
LEAST TWO of these sources should be scholarly
social science articles from academic journals.* The third can be a
newspaper or magazine article or a website that is relevant to your research
question. The three sources you include should be articles you found
potentially useful as you think about your research question.
[*Note: If you have doubts about whether a
source is peer-reviewed, some of the library databases have filters that you
can use to include only scholarly or peer-reviewed articles in your search
results. Please review the videos I posted in the Class Resources &
Recorded Class Sessions folder if you need help with how to use CSI library
databases.
** If you have doubts about whether your
scholarly sources are social science articles, you can often tell from the
title of the journal eg. Annual Review of Sociology; but here is a link to
specific social science journals available through the library: https://library.csi.cuny.edu/soc]
2b.) Finally, below each source, write a
few sentences to a short paragraph explaining how it is useful to you in
thinking about your research question. Your analysis should explain how and why
you might use this source. (For example, does your source include data that
could help you answer your research question? Does it discuss different ways to
think about your research question? Does it connect your research question to scholarly literature or to a public
debate?)
For the two scholarly sources, include
another paragraph briefly summarizing the research question, the method that
was used, the main finding(s), and the main argument or contribution to the
literature.
