1. You may be in an exploration life stage of early or middle adulthood. During this life
stage, you will be spending some time and energy in several life roles. Refer to the life
roles on the life-career rainbow and identify those roles that you anticipate spending time
and energy during the establishment stage-advancement sub-stage. Or perhaps you are at
another stage in your life, according to Super. Answer this question accordingly. At each
stage you will be spending more or less time on each of the life roles. Which has priority
to you right now?
2. After identifying the life roles, write a brief description of the activities you think you,
personally, will be involved in as they relate to each identified life role.
3. List what you see as your 3 strongest values are (Achievement, Comfort, Status,
Altruism, Safety, and Autonomy). Why are these important to you?
4. Write a brief discussion as to the extent that your identified values are congruent with
your: (a) career goal, (b) Holland Summary Code, and (c) planned life roles. Please also
include any potential inconsistencies that you see.
MY ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS
1) Spouse, Parent, Leisure. My priority is SPOUSE
2) Activities: Being a good wife (going on vacation with my husband, attending marriage seminars, spending time with my kids and creating DIY projects I love.
3) My strongest values are; Love, caring, friendship
4) Based on my Holland’s code, the three values aligns with the requirement of the emotional and mental health of my career goals. With my planned life , Love , care and friendship is needed to continue to live in my marriage and to raise up my kids and my friends makes like fun.
