1.  What are two things that surprised you about Islamic Law and women? You are welcome to pontificate on the cultural extremism at the end of your post but please do not confuse them within the post; just focus on Islamic law.

In the article “Women’s History in the New Millennium”, Anne Firor Scott, Sarah Evans, Susan Kahn, and Elizabeth Faue have a fascinating discussion about their life experience and where they think things are going in the future. What are your thoughts on the argument that women have gone from passive to active and therefore they are now agents of change? Any other thoughts on these email exchanges?
