Public Health has a big influence in the healthcare system
because it provides the evidence of the issues that need
priority in the community. For example, as I have
previously spoken about the opioid epidemic that is
happening right now, how would we know what is going
on if it isn’t for the community letting us know. Different
people seeking help for their addiction letting healthcare
providers know of the necessities that are out their. All this
input that we get from the public assists healthcare
providers and governments officials know what are we
lacking and what we need to do to solve the problem. I
think we need to focus more on how we stop the drugs
from going to the streets and how we can help individuals
with their addiction to eventually stay sober. I think we are
doing a good job getting together as a whole entity to try
to stop this but there may be additional things we could do
to stay on top of the problem because we know that the
number of overdoses and deaths is not favorable. The
challenge that we have right now is to find out how we get
rid of these lethal drugs from the streets and away from
our young ones.

Class,
a
There are much more advantages than downsides in terms
of public health. For one thing, public health uses research
to educate us about illnesses we are really not aware of
before they become a threat. They can help prevent
sickness before it starts thanks to the same studies. The
study provides us with the knowledge we need to avoid
the spread of infectious diseases by developing
vaccinations to help us fight them. “Public health saves
money, improves our quality of life, helps children grow,
and minimizes human suffering,” according to the
American Public Health Association (2021). New vaccines,
for example, are something I believe will be viewed
negatively. Many people are already opposed to their
children being vaccinated. They are unlikely to be
enthusiastic about newer immunizations. For instance,
now that we have a vaccine for covid-19, there are a
variety of possibilities. Some people were ecstatic at the
prospect of getting vaccinated against covid. Others were
forced to do it by their employment, while the rest are
opposed to the vaccine. Whatever the case may be, we all
have the right to our own opinions.
